Founded in the Fall of 2006, Nua Consulting is a small boutique consulting firm based in Portland, Oregon.
The concept for Nua came from Nua's founder and his extensive experience in tackling "talent issues" across multiple aspects of HR.
Realizing the niche available for a consultative approach to organizational talent issues combined with the increasing HR and Operational focus on the criticality of talent, Nua was founded.
Although very much in its infancy stage, Nua is committed to establishing itself as an emerging center of excellence to tackle talent challenges and providing for its customers a competitive advantage.

why "nua"?

Nua is the Irish (AKA Gaelic) word for "new". And that is what Nua Consulting will strive to be -- a new consulting firm delivering new ideas and approaches to help solve talent problems for leading companies.

about ronan mccann

Ronan McCann has over 12 years of HR and recruiting experience – with 10 of those years driving HR strategy and technologies for Intel. He is a proven strategist with a keen ability to deliver on HR and IT visions. His impact at Intel has evolved from direct recruiting to building a Staffing Tools and Technology organization (sourcing tools, worldwide resume processing etc). From there Ronan has been involved with global HR system implementations – ranging from PeopleSoft upgrades to the delivery of a HR Data Warehouse which has altered how Intel’s HR organization delivers reporting. Most recently he has been a driving force behind key corporate-wide HR initiatives including workforce planning; workforce analytics; annual performance management cycles; manager and leadership development programs.

Ronan has spoken at numerous HR Conferences and has been quoted in multiple publications - both in print and online.

Outside of "work", Ronan is also the founder of the not-for-profit venture, WILD, which is an outdoor adventure organization for young children in the Portland area.

He graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland with a Bachelor in Business Studies.
